4 Reasons Why You Need to Switch to IP Cameras

We have all been accustomed to Analog cameras, or better known as CCTV cameras. They are installed nearly in every popular place like the malls, parks, and different establishments.

While CCTVs are great in providing surveillance; it has some huge flaws. For one, the CCTV camera’s resolution is not that good. Most of them only support the VGA resolution, which, for the layman, is not that good in terms of video clarity.

Furthermore, the CCTV cameras are connected to a DVR to store footage. The idea is okay but it can be a problem when perpetrators are able to see it. They can just destroy it and the footage will be gone; possibly, for good.

Just when hope is lost for the CCTV cameras, a new breed of cameras was born. Introducing the IP cameras. They replace CCTV cameras in every major establishment.

Why do people switch to IP cameras? Well, I am actually going to tell you the 4 reasons why you need to switch to IP cameras yourself.

1. Higher Resolution. Probably, the main reason why you need to switch to IP cameras. IP cameras, even the most inexpensive ones, have a much higher resolution than even the most expensive CCTV cameras. That is just the way the IP cameras are built. When you have a higher resolution camera, you are always assured that you’re getting video footage with a higher quality than CCTV cameras. This means that the footage will be as clear as day and you can really tell the person or persons that are within the vicinity of your premises because of the crisp footage courtesy of the IP camera.

2. Video Management Software. Another thing that makes the IP cameras excel over its CCTV counterparts is the inclusion of a video management software. The software that comes with the IP camera allows you to do a couple of things. You can set the resolution of the IP camera, you can set the camera to look in one direction (if the type of IP camera permits it), you can select the storage medium the IP camera will relay its footage to, and much more. All of this can be done on the included IP camera software.

3. Remote Access. CCTV cameras are connected to a local DVR. That means that if you want to access the footage, you will have to physically be there to see what’s going on in your premises. This kind of defeats the purpose of getting a surveillance camera. IP cameras allow you to remotely access the IP camera’s live footage so that you can see what’s currently going on in your place or establishment. Most IP cameras can be accessed using a web browser and some IP cameras also come with a companion app that you can install on your phone.

4. Storage Flexibility. CCTV cameras only store their footage to the DVRs that are connected to them. IP cameras, on the other hand, can use more than one storage medium. Some IP cameras can store footage on the cloud and some IP cameras can store footage directly on a microSD card. Different IP cameras have different features but the bottom line is that these features are not present in CCTVs.

These are the top 4 reasons why you should switch to IP cameras if you’re still using CCTV cameras to this day.

Pokemon XD Gale of Darkness Game for the Nintendo Gamecube

Seventeen years ago, Pokemon aired its first TV show. A lot of people, especially kids, were enticed by the cute characters that have amazing abilities.

Then, the franchise went ahead and released a gaming lineup and since then, it was constantly improved.

Most Pokemon games are released by Nintendo and I think they are in good hands. Today, we are going to talk about the Pokemon XD Gale of Darkness Game for the Nintendo Gamecube.

But before I start my article, I will just have to say sorry to the fans of Ash as Ash is not the main protagonist of the game.

The main protagonist of the game is Michael and the story of the game is set five years after Pokemon Colosseum.

One day, Michael talked to his mom’s boss, Professor Krane. Professor Krane explained to Michael about the concept of Shadow Pokemon. Basically, Shadow Pokemon are just Pokemon who has had their hearts closed.

What does this mean? It means that most Shadow Pokemon are devoid of any emotions and they can be programmed to do a lot of things. They are not evil Pokemon; they are just Pokemon that can be told to do evil things, for example.

Professor Krane also went on to explain the Snag machine. This nifty device is what Michael will use to capture any Shadow Pokemon and it is also used to purify them as well.

After the entire explanation of the Shadow Pokemon and the Snag machine, Professor Krane was then kidnapped by the Cipher agents, the evil organization that’s been collecting Shadow Pokemon for use to carry out their nefarious plans.

The story then revolves around Michael in his pursuit of rescuing Professor Krane and also releasing Shadow Pokemon that was captured by the evil organization.

In the first few games of the franchise, your main goal was to go out in the wild, capture Pokemon using the Pokeball, and train them to do your bidding.

In the Pokemon XD Gale of Darkness Game for the Nintendo Gamecube, however, the game mechanics are a little different.

The main premise of the game is to capture Shadow Pokemon. As previously mentioned, you capture Shadow Pokemon by using the Snag machine, which you can also use to purify them.

There is a total of 82 shadow Pokemon that you should collect and purify in order to advance to the final stage.

During the game, you will encounter random Shadow Pokemon. Should you fail in capturing them, you will have another chance by continually roaming around the world map and fighting Pokemon as they appear.

Once you collect all of the 82 Shadow Pokemon, a character called “Mirror B” will appear and you will have the chance to snag and purify the last remaining Shadow Pokemon and the story will advance to the final boss.

There is also a place called “Mt. Battle” in which you can challenge one hundred different Pokemon trainers so that you can test your chops.

There is a total of ten areas and in each area, there will be ten battles in total. In the tenth and final battle in that area, you will fight the area leader who has a set of stronger Pokemon than the ones you fought before them.

The Pokemon XD Gale of Darkness Game for the Nintendo Gamecube is a nice iteration of the franchise and the idea of Shadow Pokemon is very good.

Shovel Knight Game for the Nintendo 3DS

Do you want to be a knight? If you have a Nintendo 3DS and you want a game that is so fun to play with cute characters and a compelling plot, then I can recommend a game for you. This game is none other than the Shovel Knight Game for the Nintendo 3DS.

The Shovel Knight Game for the Nintendo 3DS is a side-scrolling platform game and there are actually two campaign modes in the game.

The first and main campaign of the game is that of Shovel Knight. Shovel Knight, along with his long-time female companion Shield Knight, journeyed across the lands and ended up in the Tower of Fate.

During their exploration in the Tower of Fate, a cursed amulet took control of Shield Knight. She wants Shovel Knight out of the Tower of Fate. Shocked, Shovel Knight went outside of the tower as per Shield Knight’s request and took a long self-imposed exile.

The cursed amulet was controlled by an evil Enchantress. During Shovel Knight’s absence, the evil Enchantress rose to power and she brought evil to the land. Upon hearing stories that the Tower of Fate imposed evil across the land, Shovel Knight went back there again.

The Enchantress wants Shovel Knight out, so she bought the aid of the “Order of No Quarter” which was composed of 8 knights. These 8 knights were assigned to halt Shovel Knight’s advances.

Of course, our hero Shovel Knight beats them one by one in the Tower of Fate. There is another knight called the Black Knight who has romantic feelings for Shield Knight. Seeing that Shovel Knight reached the top of the tower, Black Knight and Shield Knight impedes Shovel Knight.

Shovel Knight now knew that the Enchantress was responsible for Shield Knight’s odd behavior and so, Shovel Knight defeated the Enchantress. After doing so, Shield Knight returned to her former self again.

But, the Enchantress made sure that the Tower of Fate will crumble. And so, Black Knight helped the wounded Shovel Knight get out of the falling tower and Shield Knight also went along with them.

That is the first campaign mode of the Shovel Knight Game for the Nintendo 3DS. The second campaign is considered to be a side quest as it is just short. It takes on the story of Plague Knight and his never ending desire to be loved.

He, along with his alchemists, have concocted a potion that will make his long-time crush, Mona, fall in love with him. But, the potion was too powerful in that it spawned a dark version of Plague Knight (an evil Plague Knight, if you will).

Plague Knight wants to defeat his evil counterpart and he said farewell to Mona, only for Mona to confess her true feelings for Plague Knight. Renewed and strengthened, Plague Knight defeats his evil counterpart and he, along with Mona, was accepted by the village people.

The Shovel Knight Game for the Nintendo 3DS is a compelling game and I highly suggest that you play it.

Clarifications of the hCG Diet

The hCG diet, albeit a good diet plan for weight-loss, is fraught with a lot of confusion. If you’ve seen Dr. Oz’s segment about the hCG diet, he says that the diet revolves around two main points: a 500-calorie meal plan every day and injecting yourself with the hCG hormone.

But, what a lot of people do not know is that there are a lot more than just the 500 calories per day and the hCG hormone. There are actually three phases to the hCG diet. We will explore each of these phases because these are important if you want to try out the hCG diet plan for yourself.

So without further ado, here are the three phases of the hCG diet:

Phase 1 (Loading Phase): Now, most people think that when you start with the hCG diet, you are then asked to eat just 500 calories per day for a few weeks. But, this is not the case. You do not start eating a calorie-restricted diet on day one. In fact, Dr. Simeon advocates that you “load up” on calories. This means that you will eat a hefty amount of food because then, your body will not be in starvation-mode where metabolism grinds to a halt. Loading up is actually a necessary step when you are going to try the hCG diet because this signals your body that you have an abundant source of calories.

Phase 2 (Diet Phase): Phase 2 is now what most people know about. In this phase, you will start eating 500 calories a day and also either injecting yourself with the hCG hormone, or using hCG diet drops.

It is very important that you eat a few calories because this is what makes the hCG hormone do its magic. Because you are only taking in a few calories a day, the hCG hormone will be forced to burn fat to be utilized as energy. That is why a lot of people claim to have lost a pound or 2 lbs per day when they are on phase 2.

Regarding on the foods that you should eat, always opt for organic food choices. Never attempt to eat or order foods from fastfood chains and restaurants as they are laden with toxins, chemicals and unwanted calories.

Phase 3 (Maintenance Phase): The maintenance phase starts on the last day of phase 2. This phase lasts for 3 weeks and you’re just going to continue with what you did on phase 2. The only difference is that now you can eat more calories (up to a maximum of 1800 calories per day).

Make sure that you will avoid any fastfoods, soft drinks, artificial sweeteners, trans fat and the like.

Now, depending on how much weight you want to lose, you may have to repeat the entire 3 phases. All in all, these 3 phases should last you 8 weeks. If you are relatively obese, you may have to repeat the phases up to 2-3 cycles.

There you have it. I hope that this article has cleared up some confusion about the hCG diet. The hCG diet is a very good diet plan, and with the right knowledge, this diet plan can work for you.

Review of the latest Nintendo 3ds

The old Nintendo 3DS had tons of promise and it failed to deliver on most of them. Other than the much publicized rumor that the auto-stereoscopic screen projecting the 3D images would damage the eyes of the gamer, there were many technical drawbacks of the console. The 3D experience was half baked as any head movements and change in viewing angles clearly disrupted the 3D effect. That led the company to launch a 2DS which also did not find many takers. With the new Nintendo 3DS, the company attempts to change things and by the way it has fared in Japan, Australia and New Zealand, it appears that Nintendo has got it right this time.

The new Nintendo 3DS looks better than the preceding version. But beyond the looks or the changeable faceplates, there is the 3D experience that has been bettered. Now, the 3D images would not be disrupted at different viewing angles or when one moves his head. There is a front camera that detects head movements and accordingly syncs the 3D viewing.

There are some upgrades in the basic hardware and settings. For instance, there is an additional analogue stick which appears to be as rigid and unfriendly as the old mouse pointers in laptops but the nub is actually very easy to use. This also does away with the Circle Pad Pro attachments and other accessories.

The new Nintendo 3DS has a faster processor. It starts up faster than any other Nintendo handheld console around. The user interface is more responsive. The connectivity is faster when you hook up with eShop and download games.

The plethora of games available on Nintendo 3DS would please many although the lack of exclusive games may be a bummer. The existing Nintendo games are a much more enjoyable experience on the new Nintendo 3DS. If some games were sluggish with the old 3DS, then that is not a concern anymore.

The new Nintendo 3DS library is stocked up with games. You get the likes of Super Mario 3D Land, Fire Emblem: Awakening, Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, Animal Crossing: New Leaf, Mario Kart 7, Luigi’s Mansion 2 and Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D among others.

The battery life of up to six hours is possibly a deterrent and one would have expected the company to deliver more juice in the otherwise state of the art handheld console.
